What’s the difference between a chicken burger and a chicken sandwich burger?

One of the greatest debates is what’s better between a chicken burger and a chicken sandwich. A chicken burger uses ground chicken, while a chicken sandwich uses a fillet. Another important difference is the cooking method. A chicken burger is typically grilled or pan-fried, while a chicken sandwich is often breaded, fried, or roasted. We’re grill experts, so we guess you can imagine which is our favourite! It’s a matter of personal taste!

Why are chicken burgers so dry?

Chicken is a naturally lean meat with a much lower fat-to-protein ratio than beef or pork. Moreover, protein tightens when it cooks, and when there’s no fat to break it up, it leaves behind a tough piece of meat. Less fat also means less moisture, so a dry patty is inevitable when you use ground chicken. A trick is to add eggs to the mixture or even some cheese like parmesan cheese or another one with potencial for melting. Nothing that can’t be fixed with a bit of cleverness and ability!
