The Kamado, an old Asian-style barbecue , with thick walls that provides a rich smoky flavour to meats, fish and vegetables. For centuries almost unchanged, the air flows in a kamado-style ceramic kiln through its ceramic body and out through its ventilated dome , the charcoal is rekindled, like smoke and heat.

It has many advantages, for example you can smoke it or not to taste,  you can regulate the temperature on the fly as has never been achieved in a wood oven or in a traditional kitchen. Due to its design, heat distribution is uniform, there are no hot spots. It is much cheaper and cleaner.

The Kettle Joe model is a flexible kamado style ceramic oven and is perfect for gatherings with friends . Our Kettle Joe model also comes standard with the revolutionary SlōRoller Hyperbolic smoking chamber for perfect low and slow cooking and a redesigned, high-quality cart .

The efficient ceramic combustion chamber allows for longer cooking time using less charcoal . Open the lid and insert the SlōRoller Hyperbolic Smoke Chamber for smoking at temperatures up to 260°C. Remove the SlōRoller Hyperbolic Smoke Chamber and lower the hinge to roast at temperatures up to 371°C. Folding side shelves allow for a larger prep area and easier storage. The ash drawer allows you to clean the ashes without having to remove the interior components, allowing for quick and easy cleaning.

You decide if you want to cook:

1. With direct heat: ember or iron.

2. With indirect heat: oven.

3. At low temperature and very slowly, or at traditional temperatures.

4. With or without smoke.

5. As a railway pot: to make stews in the Kamado.

6. As a smoker.

If you cook below ±150ºC, we are talking about low temperature cooking, and consequently more time is needed, at ±100ºC, there are recipes that are completed in 10-14 hours, it is authentic ” Slow cooking”. And you also choose if you do it with or without smoke. As  a railway pot,  it is when the pot is placed on the grill over the coals, and it is the reference method for making stews.
