An outdoor kitchen in the Algarve costs from about €3,000 for a compact modular grill station to around €23,000 for a premium integrated kitchen. In our shop, most complete kitchens with a built-in grill, storage and worktop sit between €6,000 and €13,000.
The final figure depends on four things: the grill, the cabinets and worktop, the appliances you add, and the installation. Below we break down each one, with real projects we have built across the Algarve.

The grill is the heart of the kitchen and usually the highest single cost. Built-in gas grills in our shop start at €1,099 for the Broil King Baron 420 Shadow Built-In. Popular mid-range choices are the Beefeater BI 7000 Classic 4 Burner at €2,099 and the Napoleon Built-in 700 Series 32 at €2,299. Top models like the Broil King Imperial QS 590 Built-In reach €4,599.
If you love slow cooking, many clients add a kamado such as Kamado Joe next to the gas grill. It costs more, but it covers smoking, roasting and even baking.
This is where the price changes most. Modular systems like Sunstone let you build the kitchen piece by piece: a 4-burner grill base cabinet costs €2,089, a double door base cabinet €1,539 and a 3-drawer cabinet €1,425. If a local builder makes the structure in stone or concrete, stainless steel doors to fit into it start at €335.
In the Algarve, the material matters as much as the look. Salt air near the coast corrodes cheap steel fast, so we recommend 316 marine-grade stainless steel for any home within a few kilometres of the sea.
Each extra adds function and cost:
Installation covers levelling the base, fitting the cabinets, and connecting gas and electricity. For a modular kitchen, it usually takes a few days. A custom build takes one to two weeks, depending on the works needed

If you want an outdoor kitchen ready for next summer, a modular system is the safest choice. If you are renovating a villa, a custom build lets the kitchen match the house.

The builder quotes the concrete base, the render or tiles, and the gas, water and electricity connections on top.
This client wanted a practical grilling area for everyday cooking, with somewhere to wash up without going back inside. We installed a Broil King Baron 440 with an outdoor sink. The grill has four burners, cast iron grates and a 2.7 kW side burner for sauces and sides. Grill: €1,299
For this villa in Vale do Lobo, we built a BeefEater BI 1200E 3 Burner into the kitchen. It is a compact grill with a half grill, half flat plate cooktop, so it works for steaks and seafood at the same time. It suits anyone who wants a built-in look without a large budget. Grill: €795

How long does it take to install an outdoor kitchen?
A modular kitchen takes a few days. A custom build takes around 1-2 weeks, depending on the work needed.
